INTERNET

 WHO OWNS THE INTERNET?

Nobody-not a single person, company or goverment. The Internet is a network of millions of interconnected computers and servers spread across the globe. A nonprofit international group called the Internet society does watch over the globe network, estabilishing protocol(a system of rules for sharing data)and promoting its evolution and across to every body

Why do Internet addressed start with http://WWW?

HTTP,Which stands for "hypertext transfer protocol"is the language of rules that controls how your browser navigates the network of linked pages known as the World Wide Web(which is where the "WWW"comes from). When you enter a website name into your browser's address bar(or click on a link within a page),protocols contact the site's hosting server and fetch the requested webpage, which then pops up on your computer screen.

Is THE WORLD WIDE WEB REALLY AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE

Technically, yes, but many countries such as,Iran, the people's Republic of China,Syeria, and North Korea or filters access to the internet or punish citizens who post information that's deemed critical to the goverment

HOW does a SEARCH ENGINE WORK?

Each time you enter a word or phase(say"the five best desserts")into a search engine, the following things happen behind the scenes in about one-eighth of a second.

STEP1:Sort
The Search engine uses algorithms(mathematical formulas)to determine exactly what you're hunting for, adding in synonyms("tatiest treats"),anticipat-ing your teams before you've made a mistake(did you mean "best deserts"instead of "best desserts").

STEP2:Search
Your request is sent to the search engine's servers. Here, the company that owns the search engine maintains a massive index of all the words, photos, videos, songs, and other data strewn across the World Wide Web.This information-enough to fill hundreds of millions of gigabytes-is continuosly collected and updated by progames called "spiders"that crawl the web and sift through its through its information.

STEP3:Collect
From its index, the search engine gathers every Web page with content that matches your search term. Results are filtered based on hundreds of factors, including the pages'age, the number of people who've visited the pages, their estimated reability, and more.

STEP4:Voila
The results are ranked as links in your web browser, with the most relevant Web pages at the top of the list.

How BIG IS THE WORLD WIDE WEB?
According to Google, the World Wide Web is made of more than 60trillion individuals pages-more pages than the number of neurons in your brain.

The Muvendar

The Sangam Age The first three centuries of the Common Era are widely accepted as the Sangam period,as the information for this period is mainly derived from the sangam Literature.More Correctly this has to be called as the early historical period and the second century BCE,as we have Clear epigraphical and archaeological evidence,in addition to literary evidence. The Muvendar Though the three Tamil ruling families were known to Ashoka in the third century BCE itself, some individual names are known only from the Sangam poems of the first century and later.Known as Muvendar, 'the three crowned kings',the Cheras,Cholas, and Pandays controlled major agrarian territories, trade routes and towns. But the satiyaputra (same as Athiyaman)found in the Ashokan inscription along with the above three houses is a velir chief in the sangam poems. The Cholas The cholas controlled the Central and northern parts of TamilNadu.Their core area of rule was the Kaveri delta, later known as Cholamandal...

Revival of the Chola rule The ancient Chola kingdom reigned supreme with the kaveri delta forming the core area of its rule and with Uraiyur(present-day Thiruchirapalli)as its capital. It rose to prominence  during the reign of Karikala but gradually declined under his successors. In the 9th century Vijalaya, ruling over a small territory lying north of the kaveri, revived the chola Dynasty. He conquered Thanjavur and made it his capital.
